1. About This Competition

FootyQuiz is a skill-based competition operated by Yadwiga Private Limited, a company incorporated in Karnataka, India (CIN: U47912KA2025PTC208288). The promoter's contact email is support@footyquiz.com.au.

This is not a lottery, raffle, or game of chance. Winners are determined solely by skill — specifically by quiz score and, in the event of a tie, by completion time.

2. Eligibility

Open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over only.
Employees and directors of Yadwiga Private Limited and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
Only one entry per person per monthly round is permitted.
By entering, you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements.

3. Entry & Payment

Entry fee is $10.00 AUD per person per monthly round.
Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. Yadwiga Private Limited does not store your card details.
Entry fees are non-refundable once the quiz has been started.
If a technical error prevents you from completing the quiz after payment, contact support@footyquiz.com.au within 48 hours.

4. The Competition

Each round consists of 15 AFL trivia questions with a 30-second time limit per question.
Each question has four options. One option is correct.
Participants receive one mark for each correct answer. No negative marking.
Answers cannot be changed once submitted.
The quiz must be completed in a single session. Closing the browser mid-quiz does not preserve progress.

5. Winner Selection

The winner of each monthly round is the entrant with the highest score.
In the event of a tie on score, the winner is the entrant with the fastest total completion time.
There is no element of chance in winner selection.
The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner will be notified by email within 48 hours of the round closing.

6. Prizes

The prize for each round is stated on the competition page prior to the round opening.
Prizes consist of official AFL merchandise purchased from licensed Australian retailers.
Prize value is approximate. Actual value may vary based on product availability and pricing at time of purchase.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.
The prize will be delivered to an Australian address nominated by the winner within 14 days of winner confirmation.
In the event the advertised prize becomes unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
Prizes are subject to any terms and conditions of the prize supplier.

7. Conduct & Disqualification

The promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

Submits more than one entry per round from the same email address or device.
Uses automated tools, bots, or any technology to gain an unfair advantage.
Provides false or misleading information during entry.
Is found to have tampered with the competition in any way.

8. Limitation of Liability

The promoter is not responsible for any technical failures, network outages, or payment processing issues outside its control.
The promoter's liability is limited to the refund of the entry fee in the event of a proven technical failure attributable to the promoter.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

10. Changes

The promoter reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page and take effect immediately for future rounds.

Privacy Policy

Pursuant to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles

1. Who We Are

Yadwiga Private Limited ("we", "us", "our") operates FootyQuiz at footyquiz.com.au. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information when you enter FootyQuiz:

Full name — to identify your entry and contact you if you win
Email address — to send your quiz link and notify you of results
State / territory — for leaderboard display
AFL team — for prize personalisation
Payment information — processed by Razorpay; we do not store your card details
Quiz answers and score — to determine your result and leaderboard position

3. How We Use Your Information

To process your entry and payment
To display your first name and state on the public leaderboard (last name is abbreviated to initial)
To contact you if you win a prize
To send round announcements and winner notifications (you can unsubscribe at any time)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider with SOC 2 Type II compliance.
Payment data is handled exclusively by Razorpay and is not stored on our servers.
We retain your data for 12 months after the round in which you participated, then delete it.

5. Leaderboard Display

Your first name and last name initial (e.g. "Jake T."), state, and score are displayed publicly on the leaderboard. Your email address is never displayed publicly.

6. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information (subject to our legal obligations)
Complain about a breach of your privacy to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au)

7. Cookies

FootyQuiz uses no third-party advertising cookies. We use only essential session cookies required to operate the quiz. No tracking pixels or advertising networks are used.
